Hello, I am Steve, one of the Coordinators of Family Ministry. My wife Nancy Angenend Serrot is a Family Physician with Family Medicine Specialists, P.C. and we've been married for almost 40 years. We are blessed with two sons, Peter who is an Iowa State Graduate and soon to be married in 2025, and Daniel who is a junior at Washington High School.
Our family has been part of this parish since 1994. 

Over the years I have been involved with many ministries including being part of the Confirmation Class Team, being chair of the Social Justice Committee, participating and leading Christian Experience Weekends (CEW), teaching religious education, being an RCIA sponsor, and being on the Faith Formation Commission. 

Nancy and I enjoy watching Indiana Fever games and TV series, hiking Mt. Trashmore while listening to books on tape, and staying active by attending Daniel’s show choir, drama, and Cheer Squad school activities. I also take an occasional baseball trip with friends to watch our favorite teams (Go Cubs!) and visit new stadiums. 

Before working at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, I was a fourth and fifth-grade teacher at St. Pius X Elementary School for over 20 years and before that I worked in higher education for eleven years in the college student personnel arena at St. Louis University (1987-1992) and Coe College (1992-1998). 

I am very excited to have this opportunity to serve the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church community in the capacity of Coordinator of Family Ministry. I will collaborate with Chelsea Lee, the other Coordinator of Family Ministry, to host family outreach and formation opportunities that bring families into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. I oversee the parish childcare needs, the Baptism preparation sessions, and Children's Liturgy of the Word planning and ministers. I also look forward to creating a Parish Dad's Ministry soon!
