I was born in North Dakota, and I have a twin brother and two sisters who are all adopted.
I grew up in Moorhead, Minnesota. My wife of 33 years, Sharon, is a lab manager at Mt. Mercy University. We have a son, Ben, who lives in Ames and a daughter, Lauren, who lives in Minneapolis.
Prior to coming to work at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, I worked for a Minneapolis based company for 18 years that specializes in manufacturing process automation.
We have been members of the parish since 1996. Through the years, we've been involved with Family Camp, Bible studies, men's ministry, and the greeter ministry. I was previously part of the leadership team and even did IT for St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish for a while. My hobbies include traveling, reading, photography, amateur radio, and tinkering with Arduinos.
I am very excited to be the Coordinator of Engagement at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton! The community here has supported and encouraged Sharon and I to grow in our faith and I want to help others to be intentional about growing their faith.
As the new Coordinator of Engagement, I will coordinate time and talent opportunities for existing parishioners, and help new parishioners find ministries that connect with their passions and gifts! I will manage the weekend liturgical minister schedule. I will also work with Cedar Rapids Metro Area agencies to find community outreach and service opportunities for our St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishioners to participate in.
I am excited about the opportunities for us all to grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ!
