Father Gary Mayer grew up in Stacyville, Iowa and has been a priest for eleven years (as of 2020). For five years, Father Gary was assigned to Dubuque, IA, first as an associate pastor at Holy Ghost, Holy Trinity, and Sacred Heart parishes (now Holy Spirit Parish) and then at Resurrection Parish. While in Dubuque he also was a member of the faculty and the chaplain of Wahlert Catholic High School. For the last six years, Father Mayer has been the pastor of Immaculate Conception Parish in Charles City and Saint Michael Parish in Nashua. Father Gary's parents live in Stacyville, Iowa and his brother's family in Saint Ansgar, Iowa.
