Hi! I’m Bob and I am the part-time Maintenance Supervisor at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton since 2012. My wife Martha, and I have been parishioners at St. E’s since it was in the “warehouse” in 1990. I am a Cedar Rapids native and since being married in 1977, Martha and I have lived in Watkins, Monticello, Marion and now, Toddville.
Before working at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, I was a firefighter/paramedic for the city of Marion. I have three grown sons – Ben (married to Lynnea), Jeremy (married to Laura) and Dale (married to Anna) and 4 grandchildren.
My main responsibilities at the church include keeping our church functional, clean and attractive. I lead maintenance, service and building projects to make our church a welcoming environment. I’m always looking to bring in volunteers and tap into the talents and skills God has gifted the parishioners in our church.
In my spare time, I am a barbershop chorus member and part of the Knights of Columbus and American Legion. I enjoy boating, woodworking, building projects, entertaining my grandkids and socializing with just about everyone that has the time!
One of my favorite things to do is to make connections with people. We are all connected in one way or another. Whether through our hobbies, interests we share or who we know. I love discovering those connections!
I have always been amazed at all the work, cooperation and prayers it takes to keep our parish thriving in order to follow our mission and I'm proud to be part of it!
