Although we are unable to gather as a large parish community in the upcoming weeks, it is still important to stay connected to the practice of our faith. To do this, we strongly encourage you to gather with your family to share and reflect on the Sunday Readings. The link below provides the Sunday Scripture Readings with background and age leveled reflection materials.
Middle School—Curriculum
The St. Elizabeth Middle School RE uses a curriculum from St. Mary’s Press: “Catholic Connections”. This is a parish religious education program for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. Catholic Connections will strengthen the participants’ Catholic identity and inspire them to participate more fully in the Church’s mission. The sessions in the three courses will help young adolescents to make connections between the Catholic faith and everyday life and to strengthen their connection to the faith community.
These are the topics for the sessions in each grade level:
Grade 6-The Old Testament, the Trinity and the Mission of Christ
Grade 7-The New Testament, the Church and the Sacraments
Grade 8–Christian Morality & Prayer
