*At least one of you must be a registered member of the parish. Below are the marriage preparation steps at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton:

• After filling out the Marriage Inquiry Form, a member of our parish staff will contact you to set up an initial meeting.

• During the initial meeting:
  • We will assist you in setting a date for your wedding.
  • You will fill out the Prepare/Enrich Couple Assessment. This assessment helps couples gain a deeper understanding of dynamics, personality, strengths and areas for growth.
  • Information will be shared regarding a PRE-CANA EVENT through the Archdiocese of Dubuque that couples are asked to complete prior to being married.

• After this meeting you will receive an email from Trish Lokmer, Director of Faith Formation, to discuss finding a marriage mentor couple. This Catholic married couple will assist you on your faith journey as well as your engagement and married life.

• You will also receive an email from Maria Hagan, Director of Music and Liturgy, to discuss planning your wedding liturgy.
