Parish Council
The Parish Council, as the elected leadership of the parish, is grounded in faith and is to serve as the energizing, coordinating and unifying body which enables individual members to contribute to the processes which guide and support the total effort of the parish community to carry out the mission of Jesus Christ.
Structure The Parish Council includes our pastor, ten elected members including a youth representative, and the chair of the finance committee. The Council's executive committee is made up of the pastor, Parish Council chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary. All elected members serve a three year term except for the youth representative who serves a one year term. Each Parish Council member who is not a member of the executive committee serves as an active member of a parish council committee as well as a liaison between the Parish Council and that committee.
Standing committees of the Parish Council include Liturgy, Community Life, Social Concerns, Formation and Education, and Finance. A separate and consolidated Board of Education oversees education. Elections to the Parish Council are held annually in the spring of the year.
Mission We are challenged to be good stewards of the parish finances, to develop ways to build community, discern structure and guidelines for the growth of the spiritual leadership and the entire parish community.
